I just realized that June 1st was the one year anniversary of my first outfit post! I can’t believe how quickly this year went by. Thank you so much for being a part of the fun! The blog has caused me to be more creative in my styling, to think more about the clothes that I buy, and to love the things in my closet. Plus I’ve met a fantastic community of bloggers who provide me with endless inspiration and closets to covet. In the words of this lovely lady, here’s to another year of high heels and high hopes! 🙂
On to some of the outfits I wore this week. I worked from home on Monday, which meant I spent the day in comfy clothes with no makeup. Bliss! I forgot to take a picture of my suit on Tuesday (I wore this dress with a black jacket and a gray striped shirt), but here’s what I wore after work.
— J.Crew cordoroy jacket — Gap striped turtleneck (seen here) — J.Crew high-waisted skinny jean — Kate Spade necklace — Coach bag — Nine West peep-toe booties (seen here) — Marc by Marc Jacobs sunglasses —
Husband and I went out for dinner and then stopped by the roof deck to watch the sunset. But it was really windy and cold, so we didn’t last very long.
Another day, another suit.
— J.Crew light heather graphite two-button jacket and Durham pant in super 120s (similar here and here) — Vince Camuto platform peep-toe pumps (seen here) — Banana Republic v-neck cardigan — Brooks Brothers three-quarter gingham shirt — t+j Designs pearl & rhinestone earrings (only $12!!) —
— Zoya Coraline nail polish (buy here) —
Finally, this is what I wore today.
— J.Crew sweet papaya refined canvas Fiona jacket (seen here) — Old Navy floral dress — Banana Republic peep-toe pumps — Chanel earrings —
We had a client meeting today, so no casual Friday, but the sun was shining and I couldn’t bring myself to wear a suit. And I finally splurged after six years of coveting and bought these amazing earrings!! I’m pretty sure you will see them on me every day from here on out. I am madly in love.
Oh and check out this adorable gift from my new (ridiculously awesome) employer. I have no idea how I made it 32 years without seeing this quote because it’s pretty much me in a nutshell (or, in this case, on a plate). This is a temporary location; someday when we actually finish unpacking and start decorating, I’ll take another picture to show you it’s full cuteness.
That’s all folks! As always, thank you for reading! And have a great weekend.
